If you are installing the software onto a personal or unmanaged computer please download the program.

Check “Cite While You Write” (if it is not already checked).

In the Menu Bar at the top-left of the screen, click EndNote > Customizer.

Launch EndNote (Finder > Applications > EndNote).

Save your work and fully quit Microsoft Word.

If you still do not see an EndNote tab in Microsoft Word, use the EndNote Customizer to enable Cite While You Write:.

The first time you use EndNote, follow the on-screen instructions so that the Cite While You Write feature can be added to Microsoft Word.

When the installation is complete you should briefly see the notification “EndNote has been installed and can be found in the Applications folder.” EndNote will be downloaded and installed.

If you’re not finding the style you need, download it from the EndNote Styles site, You can easily reformat the paper in a different journal format: In the Word EndNote toolbar choose the journal style desired from the Style dropdown box.EndNote software is a bibliographic and reference software used by the college. Eventually you’ll want to select this style in the Style Manager, so it appears on your list of favorite styles: Edit / Output styles / Open style Manager.ĮndNote has over 5000 styles available, but the usual EndNote installation often doesn’t include all of them.
